12 Months of Neon Love

This art project by artists Victoria Lucas and Richard William Wheater comprised a sequence of twelve quotes, presented over twelve months in large red neon text. Visible from the railway line running through Wakefield Westgate station, the work was erected on the roof of the Neon Workshops studio in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Using lyrical statements borrowed from well-known songs, the project re-presented expressions of intimacy, adoration and heartbreak to an unsuspecting audience going about their everyday lives.
