Depths explores the relationship between surface and subsurface through a sculptural form that suggests both containment and permeability. Referencing burial stones and the voids they conceal, the work draws attention to the space beneath as a site of transformation rather than absence. Its seeping, folded structure resists solidity, implying a body of matter in flux. Sculpted in jesmonite and soil, the sculpture operates as a threshold between what is held, what is hidden, and what continues to shift below the surface.
